Guided Picking
Picking Rules Configurator
The user can configure the picking rules using the Picking Rules Configurator. The Pick Release and Reserve Module calls the Picking Rules Configurator using APIs. It will pass the delivery detail ID to the Picking Rules Configurator, which will derive all the remaining data elements using the delivery detail ID. The data elements on which the rules can be created are available pre-seeded in the Picking Rules Configurator.
Some of the data elements that can be used to define the picking rules are:
- Item number
- Customer ID
- Quantity ordered
- Unit of measure (UOM)
- Ship method
Rules can be defined to specify the subinventory and/or locator to pick the quantity based on the conditions defined.
The Picking Rules Configurator will return the selected subinventory/locator to the Pick Release and Reserve Module.
