Gemini Simplified Interface (G.SI) for Guided Putaway extends the functionality of Oracle by allowing rules to determine the order and location of items to be putaway after they are received from suppliers. This functionality can be used in combination with the Gemini Simplified Interface Suite (G.SI) to direct workers to the proper inventory locations based on a configurable rules engine. Guided Putaway dramatically increases the efficiency and accuracy of receiving and putaway processes.

Guided Putaway was designed with several key features:

Removes the need to customize code to configure rules for picking. The business user can define rules using the Picking Rules Configurator. There is no need to change programs, for changes in warehouse configuration or changes needed for picking efficiency

Designed for business users and not programmers. It enables the business users to configure the system without assistance from technical team members.
Seamless Integration to Oracle
Designed with seamless integration to Oracle Applications as a key factor. It does not duplicate data and uses the standard Oracle Receiving Transaction Processor.

With Guided Putaway, a user configurable rules engine directs how items are putaway after receiving. For example, hazardous materials can be directed to specific locations. Customer-specific inventory locations can also be defined. Changes can be made dynamically as needs dictate.
