ClearOrbit's Gemini Simplified Interface (G.SI)^TM for High Availability extends the ability for users to leverage bar code scanning and process automation to situations when the Oracle ERP system is unavailable. This may happen when a user is outside of network wireless coverage or when the ERP server is down for maintenance or unplanned downtime. Mission-critical transactions can continue even when the ERP is not available, avoiding delayed transactions or transactions captured on pen and paper and then (hopefully) later recorded in the ERP. This allows businesses to avert the high error rates and drastic productivity drops introduced by manual processes.

G.SI for High Availability offers significant productivity increases for situations when the Oracle ERP is unavailable:

1. Wireless coverage is not available. G.SI for High Availability makes it easy to perform Oracle transactions in remote warehouse facilities, shipping yards, cold storage areas, or any other place where wireless coverage is unavailable.

2. The Oracle system is down. Planned and unplanned downtime creates major problems with critical ERP transactions. For example, a truck driver cannot wait for the ERP system to come back on line when a shipment is going to be late. Also, it is very expensive to shut down a manufacturing line just because Oracle may be down. The ClearOrbit application allows transactions to continue when the system is unavailable and will automatically upload the transaction data when the system becomes available.
