G.SI leverages RF and barcode technology to allow workflows that are extremely fast and minimize errors. Transactions can be run on RF scanners or PC screens that allow shipping "power users" to process orders very quickly without the complexities and training requirements of GUI forms.

Building Block Approach
G.SI consists of a broad set of order fulfillment transactions that are used as the "building blocks" for your unique outbound process. G.SI transactions take full advantage of functionality such as LPNs (License Plate Numbers) and transportation planning (deliveries and trips). The transaction set includes:

Configurable Shipping Flows
By configuring individual transactions appropriately, a variety of shipping flows are supported, such as:

Pick & Ship
Picking items from Finished Goods inventory, appropriate for shipping loose items.
Pick, Pack and Ship
Picking and packing items from Finished Goods when container ID is required.
Pack to LPN
Appropriate for high volume scheduled shipments (such as automotive suppliers). Pick release and pick confirm are completed in the background.
Make to Order
Items are packed to an LPN at WIP complete, supporting Just-in-Time manufacturing methodologies.
Loose Items to Delivery
Appropriate for high volume scheduled shipments where containerization is not required (Pick release, pick confirm and pack are completed in the background.
Pack & Ship
Useful in environments when a picking slip is needed (pick release) but LPN, Delivery and Trip functionality are also required.
Pack While Picking
Combines the pick and pack in a single transaction to increase efficiency.
Quick Ship
Assign to Trip, Delivery, Pack, Pick Confirm and Ship Confirm in a single module
Express Shipping
Simple shipping with minimal process overhead, with the entire shipping process in a completed in a single transaction.

Oracle Compatibility
Since G.SI operates directly against the Oracle E-Business Suite data model, it is completely compatible with the rest of the E-Business suite. Standard interfaces such as APIs (Application Program Interfaces) are utilized.
