SO Drop Shipment
Collaborative shipment of remotely stored goods
ClearOrbit's SO Drop Shipment (SOD) allows you to manage the ordering, shipping and inventory management transactions associated with partners drop-shipping items based on your booked Sales Orders. SOD provides partners web-based visibility to your sales orders that require shipments from inventory stored on-site at their locations. Partners then ship the appropriate products. SOD generates the appropriate bar code labels for each container, as well as necessary shipping documentation, all pulled in real time from your ERP. ClearOrbit's unique methodology provides full "track, trace & control" over your virtual supply chain by linking your business processes together with partners at critical points in the transaction.
SO Drop Shipment (SOD) automatically manages the back-end ERP transactions required to accurately account for the fact that partners have shipped items you own from their locations. Once the partner has shipped the item through SOD, the required transactions (create delivery, assign SO line, pick release, ship confirm, etc.) are automatically run in the background so your ERP is accurate and always up to date. SOD even sends an automatic notification to your customer service representative, letting them know the items have been sent to the customer.

- Tight ERP Integration
SO Drop Shipment provides automatic visibility via the web to all Sales Orders in the ERP relevant for a particular partner. Once the partner has shipped the item through the SOD system, the item is automatically pick released and shipped from the partner inventory location in the ERP, maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Package Level Tracking
Each separate carton shipped can be assigned a unique Package Tracking Number (PTN) to avoid shipping errors and increase shipment traceability.
- Dynamic Label Formats
Drives bar code label compliance to your partners' shipping locations. Your partners can dynamically print different label formats based on the specific requirements of your end customer.
- Shipping Documentation
Provides the partner with the ability to print ERP shipping documents and enter shipping charges. This includes printing of Commercial Invoices for customs requirements.
- Secure Access
Partners only see the sales orders relevant to their responsibility. They do not have access to sensitive information such as the unit price to the end customer.
- Credit Holds
Provides the capability to prevent the partner from shipping to a customer that has a credit problem.
- Email Notification
SOD automatically emails the partner when new orders are available. The OEM is automatically notified when the partner has accepted the order, and again when the order has shipped.
