Product Installation/Upgrade

Once ClearOrbit software is purchased or an upgrade is provided, Consultants can be engaged to install the software on a development instance at the client's site and execute an Installation Test Plan to ensure that the applications are functioning properly. ClearOrbit also documents the install process and final configuration as a reference guide for the client. At the client's option, ClearOrbit can also provide a higher-level product overview. As our clients upgrade their ERP system applications, we provide valuable expertise in configuring those applications and in determining which ClearOrbit customizations/enhanced functionality should be migrated to the new system.


Project Management

ClearOrbit Project Management utilizes a proprietary methodology, based on best-practice methodologies, such as AIM, to guide delivery of products and services. Benefits of using ClearOrbit project management include: effective communication to client management and project members, proactive identification and resolution of issues, and assurance of quality work within time and budget constraints. Project Management is a key part of all ClearOrbit consulting engagements to ensure a high-quality product that delivers the intended benefits of the project.


Performance Tuning

ClearOrbit software enables high-volume, repetitive transactions to be handled quickly. To take full advantage of the speed ClearOrbit software provides, ERP system tuning should be performed during the testing phase of the project. ClearOrbit Consultants are experienced in tuning the Oracle and SAP systems, ABAP and PL/SQL queries to perform efficiently in client-specific environments.


Implementation Support

ClearOrbit Consultants can be engaged to support the entire ClearOrbit implementation process. Consultants often support key activities such as Conference Room Pilots in which the project team validates the integration of software and hardware, support of migrating software into a production instance and troubleshooting of client systems. ClearOrbit minimizes risk through fast implementations and superior product architecture, proving the value and demonstrating benefits to the user community before introducing the solution to the larger audience. We have found that our most satisfied customers are those who engage ClearOrbit Consultants early in the implementation of their ERP system and thus fully achieve the business process efficiencies that ClearOrbit software enables in the ERP.


System Testing

ClearOrbit prefers to work side-by-side with client team members during the system test plan phase of the project. ClearOrbit Consultants will work with the client's project team to identify, log and resolve any issues before migration to production. This service helps to avoid "surprises" and ensures a successful go-live in the production environment.


Product Customization & Enhancements

ClearOrbit software is designed to provide a tailored, configurable solution to the client's needs using "out-of-the-box" functionality. ClearOrbit Consultants guide clients toward standard product processes wherever possible. However, there are times when unique or proprietary business processes require unique technical solutions. ClearOrbit products are designed to allow configuration and customization when required, while maintaining the integrity of the core ERP code base. ClearOrbit Consultants are highly trained to design and implement those customizations in a way that minimizes your long-term cost of ownership. Effective project management and the use of a standardized Enhancement Methodology helps to ensure that quality customizations are delivered on-time and within budget.


Requirements, Analysis & Definition

ClearOrbit Professional Services works with the client to understand and document all pertinent business processes as a first step, identifying gaps between the existing processes and technology and the desired state. Consultants assist the client team in constructing requirements documents that describe the desired state of process and technology. Those requirements become the blueprint for implementing software that delivers the exact functionality needed to achieve the expected results of the project. This service is yet another method of working with the client to ensure that ClearOrbit exceeds expectations and maximizes enterprise value.


Training

ClearOrbit provides a high-level product overview for a limited number of client personnel as part of the installation of ClearOrbit software. Additional training of key functional users and technical support staff is also available. Consultants often engage to "train the trainers" of a client's end users and provide support to a client's training staff. Other on-site training is available to meet a client's specific training objectives. ClearOrbit also offers a four-day Functional Training Class for key functional users and a four-day Technical Training Class for clients that wish to make in-house customizations to the ClearOrbit software.


Functional Consulting

ClearOrbit Functional Consultants are trained to assess and streamline processes related to manufacturing, distribution and warehouse operations. ClearOrbit uses the SCOR model to guide assessment of client processes. Through observation and interviews, ClearOrbit Consultants develop a "baseline" process, compare baseline to best practices and document potential process modifications. After a client has purchased ClearOrbit software, a Functional Consultant can also identify "gaps" between the client's current business processes and ClearOrbit software functionality. ClearOrbit's functional expertise is also useful in optimizing the proper configuration and use of the client's ERP, generating maximum value from the investment.
