ERM – FAQ
Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ)
What is ERM?
Enterprise Returns Management (ERM) provides web-based returns processing for Sellers and their Customers. ERM is designed to use the brand owner’s policies and guidelines regarding returns in a Rules-based, self-service process that is easily modified as business needs change. ERM gathers essential information at the source of the return while providing early notification of incoming returns. Furthermore, it provides insight to order management, sales, and service personnel of demand that might be met with existing supply.
What do I need to run ERM?
Before downloading ERM we recommend that you have:
- At least 500MB of free disk space. Additional space may be required to complete the installation
- Processor: 400 MHz CPU
- Ram: 512MB
What am I downloading?
You will be downloading a single 425MB executable (.exe) file. This free trial version of ERM includes a subset of the complete suite of functionality in the fully-licensed version.
Is there a difference between the Trial Version and the Full Version of ERM?
The Trial Version includes the core functionality of the fully-licensed version. Additional reporting capabilities and ERP data integration are not included in the free trial. Additionally, ERM Free Trial uses a Derby database to store RMAs, user profiles, and other data because it is lightweight and ideal for installing on your PC or laptop. The fully-licensed version of ERM comes with a more robust database that can handle thousands of transactions per hour.
Can I install ERM immediately after I download it?
Not quite. To complete the installation, you will need one small file. This file contains a software license key. The file will be sent to the email address you provided during registration within 24 hours. Detailed instructions are included.
How do I install ERM?
To install ERM, simply double-click the icon labeled ERMFreeTrial in whatever directory (or on your desktop) you saved the file to. The installer application uses a wizard-like interface to walk you through the configuration process.
